I was reading through another article on Arrow — you know, one of dozens like it about how “Arrow gets comic book television right” — but this one had an interesting excerpt from the original comic series Green Arrow was in.
I’m extremely far from being an expert in comics, and I’m pretty sure that I’ve read less in my entire life than I have fingers, but I’m pretty surprised to see how directly the industry handled social issues back in the day, even if GA was known as a “left-wing bleeding heart/social-justice vigilante”
